We offer 4 models of Yanmar excavators with an operating weight of 8 tonne and above. Two of these machines are zero tail swing (ViO) and two have a semi zero swing (SV).
One thing about the Yanmar midi-excavators is that each one is different and has it's own niche. A prime example of this is how the 10 tonne, SV100 and the 8 tonne, ViO80 differ. In many cases a 10 tonne machine is just a pumped up version of the 8 tonne, with a large counterweight on. However to see the ViO80 and SV100 parked side by side the differences become clear (as shown in the below images). The whole undercarriage on the 10 tonner is larger, making the height, width and length of the machine greater. This will clearly also increase the dig depth and reach as well as working forces.
A true concentrate of technology and innovation, ViO80-1 offers the performance of a large excavator while enjoying the benefits of a compact excavator. Designed to work effectively on a wide variety of sites, it combines compactness, power, versatility, comfort and reliability.
Based on our unique experience and expertise, Yanmar technology ensures excellent performance while respecting the environment. The ViO80-1 combines power, flexibility and precision. Its versatility makes it the ideal partner to improve your productivity, regardless of the work site complexity you are facing (excavation, grading, demolition, backfilling etc).
With its unique boom the B7-6 is able to work where no other excavator can: efficient when working at height but also when digging below the dividers between the shoring plates of a trench. Perfect to excavate in urban environments, its unique boom reduces truck rotations when loading or unloading: the bucket can go in the corners of the truck easily.
The B7-6 is also very stable and its boom is very resistant due to the high tensile steel from which it is made of. High tensile steel is 1.5 times stronger than ordinary steel and is lighter which improves the weight distribution of the machine.
The SV100-2 is the only 10-ton midi-excavator with short tail swing that can operate in jobsites where other 10-ton machines have difficulties. Extremely compact, with a short tail swing, it enables you to work in narrow areas with high performances thank to its VICTAS and VIPPS systems and this with always more attachments. Its high-power, eco-friendly engine with electronically-controlled water-cooled EGR system reduces air-polluting oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and its auto-deceleration mechanism lowers engine speed when not in operation, reducing your fuel consumption.
SV100-2 Piece Boom
Yanmar introduces its first model with an articulated boom: the SV100 2-Piece Boom. This type of configuration originates from heavy wheeled excavators and improves drastically the performance in lifting, moving and placing loads. The improvement results from the added articulation in the boom. This improves the maneuverability and ability to place a load with precision. Furthermore, it improves also the load chart from the machine by as much as 45% in some areas of the load chart. The additional weight due to the articulated boom configuration has been limited to 845 kg. These all benefits to the outstanding lifting ability of the SV100 2-Piece Boom.
