Going to Hillhead next week? Then make sure you come and see the first ever ARX26-2 in the country on stand N17 - the future is here!
Compaction is essential on any worksite in the construction sector. There are numerous reasons we compact, including; to increase the load bearing capacity, make the surface more resistant to damages and to ultimately make the surface stable.
Compaction quality as well as output is high on our ASC rollers.
Two different vibration frequencies and amplitudes are achievable from these rollers. A simple system for adjusting amplitude/frequency by selecting the vibratory shaft movement is situated on the dashboard control panel. Thus giving greater control and quality of compaction.
These rollers are powered by reliable Cummins engines, fitted with auto idle to help reduce emissions. The engines give a strong power output, allowing the machines to climb a grade of 45% as well as keeping compaction forces as high as they are, 15% higher than the nearest competing roller. This is thanks to the tried and tested Ammann Vibratory system offering industry leading outputs. Even the frame and drum are optimally balanced to ensure compaction is even and deeper.
3 further key benefits we have identified are as follows:
We will have an ASC model on show at Hillhead 2018, in the meantime, for further information, including pricing and availability please contact our offices on:

The ARX90 is a tandem drum roller, weighing just over 9 ton, with strong vibration outputs from an independent vibratory pump situated in each drum. The roller also features a heavy-duty, two-stage vibrator and easy adjustment of amplitude and frequency.
Ammann have also done work on re designing the cab, making it a more comfortable operating station, which should in turn aid productivity.
The following gives an overview of the main key features of this large tandem roller:

The Ammann ARX Light Tandem Rollers deliver compaction no matter what your needs and which model you choose.
The light rollers start at 1475 kg of operating weight and run all the way to 4650 kg, while compaction widths range from 800 mm to 1380 mm.
There are varied features and options – from combination rollers that include drums and tyres to full flush models that work tight against obstacles to heavier options that deliver more static force.
Whatever your choice, you’ll find a roller with the compaction output you need.
Ammann Tandem Rollers are designed and engineered for easy operation. That includes the location of controls, an easy-to-see operator display, drive levers, visibility and easy adjustment of amplitude and frequency.
The electronic drive lever used is offered only by Ammann and it enables smooth starts and stops, which is especially important for use on asphalt jobs.
The narrow frame enables optimal view down to the drum. The seat, which is located on a double vibration isolated platform, is fully adjustable which improves the users sight lines.
Service and maintenance points are easy to reach, as are fluid ports. Your service team will make quicker, more efficient work of preventive maintenance.

The ARW65, Ammann's walk behind roller, combines two application within one machine.
The operator can choose between a high amplitude setting for working on gravel and soil based surfaces, or a low amplitude setting for usage on asphalt and bituminous material.
The ARW 65 features scrapers on both drums and a 60-litre water tank with sprinkler system to ensure the machine is ready to handle bituminous surfaces when called upon.
Edge work - The ARW65 offers clearance on both sides of the drum, allowing compaction work up to curbstones, walls and other obstacles. Therefore no extra work on edges is required, saving precious time.
Smooth operation - Each machine is fitted with a hydraulic drive, ensuring variable speed adjustment and smooth starting/braking actions.
Minimal maintenance - The walk behind rollers are built without mechanical fast-wearing parts such as V belts and a clutch, helping reduce maintenance time.
Safety - The guide handle includes the 'dead mans handle' which immediately shuts off the machine if the operator releases their grip. When in reverse mode the roller's speed limit is set to 2.5km/h as a safety regulation to protect workers.

The Ammann ARX20 roller is a light, articulated machine, with a 1 metre wide drum, that delivers optimal compaction results through its double drive and double vibration systems.
A big plus for asphalt and groundworkers using this roller is that it works flush up against curbs and other obstructions. The operator also has excellent visibility from the work station, not only to the drums but also all around the machine.
The electric drive-lever makes for smooth starting and stopping and is another the reasons the roller is popular. Other operator benefits include a rubber-mounted platform that limits vibration, a reliable Yanmar engine and large water tank capacities.
Like all of our Ammann ARX tandem rollers, the ARX 20 is built with high quality, long-lasting components that reduce the cost of ownership over the lifetime of the machine. It is reliable, economical, safe and fuel efficient.

The Ammann ARR 1575 is our very popular and successful trench roller.
With expendable drums allowing working widths of 640 or 850 mm, these roller packs a real punch, aided by a powerful Yanmar engine. The machine and its padfoot drum provide results, even where other compactors have failed. Its ability to work in cohesive soils can prevent the need for soil removal and replacement, providing a significant financial impact.

The above video shows an Ammann ARS200 working on a road construction site in the Czech Republic. Despite it being filmed abroad the features and benefits shown in the video make it a successful machine worldwide.
Ammann say of the ARS200 "This T4f Soil Compactor goes to work on jobsites where the ultimate compaction power is needed, including sub-bases for heavy transportation construction such as railways, airfields and harbors. It combines advanced amplitude and vibratory systems with a heavier operating weight of 22 tons to deliver industry-leading compaction outputs."
In fact this model is far heavier with far greater compaction abilities when compared to it's rival machines.

This week we have sold and delivered an Ammann ASC50 single drum roller.
This roller has an operating weight of 4.5 tonnes, with a drum width of 1400 mm. Despite it's compactness a Centrifugal force of 100 kN make it well suited to jobs such as; pipeline construction, road subbabse's, structural backfilling and housing developments.
Ammann define the ASC 50 Soil Compactor as a heavier “small” compactor, with more force delivered from a machine that still is able to fit into tight spaces.
The ASC 50 HD version features greater gradeability and additional compaction selections that include a combination of low frequency with high amplitude and compaction force.
• Automatically adjusts if a drive component slips
• Only stops when both drive wheels and the drum are without traction, resulting in maximum grade-ability on any type of ground
• Includes “twin-lock” traction control
• Offers no-axle concept for exceptional footing
Optimum Compaction Force
• Industry-leading compaction outputs
• Smooth or padfoot drum
• Low centre of gravity
Productivity in Small Spaces
• Features articulation-oscillation joint
• Works flush against objects such as curbs
• Offers exceptional visibility for operator
• Operator platform is mounted on vibration-free rubber mounts for highest comfort
• Drives energy into material and away from operator
• Has ROPS Operator platform
