Convenience and ease of handling are what separate outstanding vibratory rammers from those that are merely good.
The ACR 60 and 68 rammers from Ammann are ideally suited to handling different tasks and multiple operators.
Recent innovations to these machines has included:
As part of the Dieci Construction machines are a range of cement truck mixers.
These 4 models extended what we can offer to our end user and there are a number of models working in the UK already, including the UK's most talked about site, Hinckley Point.
Dieci released their first truck mixer in 1963 and have constantly improved and adapted this model until the current day where the; N 2400, L 3500, L 4700 and F 7000 are available. The main specs of these machines are as follows:

Compaction is essential on any worksite in the construction sector. There are numerous reasons we compact, including; to increase the load bearing capacity, make the surface more resistant to damages and to ultimately make the surface stable.
Compaction quality as well as output is high on our ASC rollers.
Two different vibration frequencies and amplitudes are achievable from these rollers. A simple system for adjusting amplitude/frequency by selecting the vibratory shaft movement is situated on the dashboard control panel. Thus giving greater control and quality of compaction.
These rollers are powered by reliable Cummins engines, fitted with auto idle to help reduce emissions. The engines give a strong power output, allowing the machines to climb a grade of 45% as well as keeping compaction forces as high as they are, 15% higher than the nearest competing roller. This is thanks to the tried and tested Ammann Vibratory system offering industry leading outputs. Even the frame and drum are optimally balanced to ensure compaction is even and deeper.
3 further key benefits we have identified are as follows:
We have a delivery of Yanmar C50R-5 tracked carriers due into us early October. This 6 tonne dumper is a very compact carrier for its class. It has a total width of 2.2 meters allowing this machine to transport 3800 kg of load capacity even on very small jobsites. A total length of 4.54 meters makes it easy to turn in every condition, especially considering that this machine can spin-turn 360°.
You may remember that the C50's underwent a series of upgrades at the end of 2015, which vastly improved the machine, as mirrored by an upturn in interest and sales throughout 2016 and now 2017.
Some of the popular features are outlined below:
Very Low Ground Pressure
Being equipped with one of the largest track gauges on the market gives these dumpers a large ground surface. 32 rollers on the ground evenly distribute the weight and fully loaded the machines ground pressure is as low as 32.4 kPA. This improves the all terrain capabilities and means the C50R-5 can work in the worst ground conditions. So much so Yanmar have dubbed this machine as 'light-foot'.
The visibility on the new models has been improved through; wider windows, a re-designed right corner of the machine and 3 rear view mirrors. Hence making the surrounding work areas more visible and safer.
Reversible Travel Levers and Seat
Both the drivers seat and the travel levers are mounted on a 180° turning pivot, meaning the operator is always facing the direction of travel. Apart from the obvious safety benefits this gives it also saves time due to less maneuvering required, which in turn means less impact on the ground as constant turns of the machine aren't required.
New Cab Design
Now with a large ROPS, FOPS & TOPS standard cab that has improved steps and rails for easier entry and exit. Inside the cab the seat has be changed to a more comfortable model, as well as all the instruments being positioned on the far side of the cabin. This is so all the switches and the LCD screen are together improving the visibility and ease for the operator.
The latest Yanmar common rail engine equipped with a particle filter is found in these machines. It gives a high engine output whilst still falling in line with the latest engine regulations.
The engine also comes with anti-stall technology, which controls the primary side pilot pressure when travelling up banks and in second speed so stalls can be prevented.
Our old friend Miriam Rickli has done another brief video showcasing some of the key features of the new line of Ammann APF forward moving plates.
This week we have taken delivery of the APF 15/50 plate compactors, with a plate width of 500mm and Centrifugal force of 15kN.
This model has all of the top features mentioned in the above video, such as a maintenance free exciter system and hand arm vibration levels of under 2.5 m / sec².

Alongside a wide range of fixed telehanders, we now also offer Rotating or Roto handlers in our Dieci portfolio. These machines are the Pegasus models and are available with 360 or 400 degree rotation.
There are 5 x 360° models that we have already had plenty of interest in, they are:
However Dieci say that these machine are better than a boomlift due to greater stability and accuracy at extreme heights. An operational coverage of 1734 metres squared makes them better than a telescopic boom and the all round agility and ability makes it better than a crane!
Below is highlighted some of the many highlights these Pegasus machines have, you can see more on these by viewing our Dieci Pegasus webpage, where you will find brochures and spec sheets.
Easy & Safe Work System
Inside the ROPS-FOPS-TOPS cab there is an advanced on-board computer, complete with safety features such as; anti-tip sensors, self leveling legs, load capacity sensors. The work system automatically adjusts the capacity systems based on the position of the outriggers to give optimal and safe work.
A new 5 in 1 joystick with a 'dead man' sensor enables proportional and integrated movements, even when the machine is moving. This results in far better precision of movements and is more comfortable for the operator.
The latest generation of Kubota engine technology, with fully electronic control, has led to a reduction in fuel consumption by over 10%. These 3.8 litres diesel turbo engines give a rated power output of 74.5 kW.
Dieci have paid plenty of attention to operator comfort and you will notice a very spacious cab when you first step in. Equipped with the widest door on the market, accessing the comfortable drivers seat is easy. Inside you will see an easy to read display screen showing all the real time information necessary to operate the vehicle.
Soundproofing, adjustable steering column, storage compartments and various accessories such as; air condiitong, radio and pneumatic seat all help improve user experience.
The window wiper even cleans the glass at the top of the cab for an unparalleled 360° view
As we have previously discussed Yanmar are really driving a reduction in overall total cost of ownership (TCO) for their construction machinery.
A main way to reach this goal is to make the products more reliable, which will decrease the possibility of machine downtime and in turn increase overall productivity. The more work a machine can get done the more cost effective it becomes in simple terms.
Our Yanmar excavators have some of the best levels of cylinder protection on the market. The bucket, arm, boom and blade cylinders are completely protected (cylinder and rod) by a new design of reinforced steel plate. It is important these parts are well protected as it is common to see damages to these areas.
These steel plates are designed to allow for some spring which help absorb shocks as well as offering high levels of protection. Meaning that more intensive work can be completed using a hydraulic hammer for example, safe in the knowledge that intense vibrations or flying debris won't cause the damage it potentially could.
On the latest excavator models Yanmar have even extended their already large area of cylinder protection, for example the blade cylinder and rod on the new ViO50-6 and ViO57-6 has increased in size, once again aiming to reduce the possibility of damage and decrease the machines overall TCO.

During the last Autosport International show held at the NEC, the Williams Martini Racing team decided to bring along its motorhome (the one it has used for all European Grand Prix since 2014 and which is normally off-limits to the public) and open it to visitors for the duration of the event. During the setup for this a Dieci telehandler plays a key role.
To call it a motorhome is something of an understatement, given that it is an eight-meter high modular prefabricated structure equipped with all the facilities of a real building (running water, gas, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, bathrooms and showers, etc.), containing not only the offices of Frank and Claire Williams, but also several meeting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a well-stocked bar, as well as private accommodation for the drivers.
Twelve trucks are needed to transport the motorhome, whether to the NEC or to European races: ten for the modules that comprise the structure, one for their contents and one containing the Dieci Hercules 190.10 needed to assemble them. The motorhome structure is fully wired and equipped with all the hydraulic and electrical connections and everything else needed to make the structure inhabitable and operational within a short space of time.
In order for the systems to work properly, the modules have to be coupled together very carefully, which is where our 190.10 machine comes in: designed for heavy-duty work, the Hercules not only offers a muscular 129 kW output, but also the precision and delicacy needed to perfectly align the various modules, making an otherwise lengthy and complex job that much easier and quicker.
A quick look at the specs show why this powerhouse telehandler is well suited to a wide variety of works including; mining, quarrying, ship yards and general heavy duty jobs.
