Weighing in at 795 kg and with a working width of 95 cm, the fully hydraulic APH 110-95 high performance compactor is the most powerful machine in its category. It can be used for a range of classical applications such as earthworks, asphalting and paving as well as construction of paths, roads and railway tracks, backfilling, construction work on trenches, canals and gardens, landscaping work and foundation building.
Outstanding running properties make it suitable for both trench and surface work. Above average area results are also achievable on block paving thanks to the APH 110-95’s increased working speed.
In practice, this means that in one hour the APH 110-95 – with its output of 37 m/min – achieves perfect compaction of 2,100 m2 of soil, the equivalent to the area of four basketball courts.
Ideal for users: compaction performance is displayed and measured in real time, so operators can see at a glance where the soil is already optimally compacted and where another pass is needed. This feature saves time, work effort and fuel – adding up to increased productivity. Alternatively an automatic mode can be selected: this is especially useful for less experienced operators as the machine’s compaction performance is automatically adjusted downwards to guarantee optimum compaction results.
The reduced noise level and extremely low hand-arm vibrations make life easier for machine operators with no loss of performance. To ensure easy control of the compactor, Ammann’s engineers have designed the ergonomic guide handle with Orbitrol steering for exceptional agility and fatigue-free working. Thanks to stepless servo control for forward and reverse and an optimised baseplate, users need only apply the minimum of force to accurately guide and steer this high-performance compaction machine.
The APH 110-95 is yet another demonstration of Ammann Compaction’s ability to develop new machines that strike the ideal balance between meeting user requirements and compliance with maximum quality and safety standards.
Astwood Bank Cricket Club are a thriving cricket club located just over 10 miles from A&Y's Warwickshire headquarters. With 5 men's teams playing at a high local standard as well as Women's teams and an ever expanding junior section the club is one on the rise, growing year on year.
This week a group of volunteers have been working hard at their 3rd team ground, with the help of a Yanmar ViO17 excavator, supplied by Redditch's Dormer Plant Hire.
The excavator was being used to dig out the footings for an extension to the changing facilities. This particular extension will allow them to have electricity for the new kitchen and shower facilities for the 2017 season.
Weighing 1.7 tonnes, being a zero tail swing machine and having an extendable undercarriage from 950 - 1280 mm, the ViO17 is the ideal excavator for small to medium sized jobs like this one. A big plus point for the ViO17 is it's impressive stability along with strong front and side lifting capacities for a machine in this class.
This is brought about from; having a lower centre of gravity than many competing machines, the extendable undercarriage and Yanmar's unique VIPPs system.
For Astwood Bank CC this work is just the start of many more planned improvements, they will be beginning work on the clubhouse extension at the main ground soon after the end of the current season. This extension will provide a much more suitable facility for cricket - larger club room, additional changing and showering areas.
We wish the club all the best with their on going works and hopefully more Ammann and Yanmar machinery will be used along the way!
The Cormidi C6.60 is a high performance and highly reliable tracked carrier.
Measuring just 695mm wide it passes through standard doors, additionally with the longest undercarriage (1320mm) and highest discharge height (1675mm at pivot) in it's class its not hard to see why this machine proves incredibly popular on all manner of job sites.
The C6.60, with a Yanmar LA electric start engine (7.5hp) and top travelling speed of 2.3mph moves over uneven or wet ground even when fully loaded. These tracked dumpers have the perfect combination of speed and power thanks to a hydrostatic transmission. This is based on pumps with axial pistons controlling variable flow. This allows the Cormidi to work comfortably at its top speed.
This is aided by the innovative 'rocking rollers', where the middle two rollers along the bottom oscillate allowing the tracks to ride over stones or brick whilst still keeping the load stable and giving the operator a safe ride.
This tracked dumper often goes hand in hand with a mini excavator, Yanmar's SV08 for example, therefore it is important a machine like this can be easily transported. Four tie down points make for safe trailer transportation, you will find four lifting points too on the C6.60 which are very useful.
You will also see that the working levers which control tracking, speed and tipping mechanism are fully protected against any possible damages caused by an excavator when loading.
Currently in stock and ready for orders, if you would like any more information on these machines then please contact our team on email@example.com or call 01789 414525
Kuno Kaufmann, Director of Research & Development at Ammann recently stated that users of compaction equipment must embrace the technological advances being made or risk being left behind.
He used the words "data" and "real time" often when describing new technology. These are both provided in the Ammann Compaction Expert or ACE systems.
These systems are often associated with the bigger ARX tandem and ASC single drum rollers but it is also available on Ammann's smaller compaction items.
Vibratory plates compactors and light tandem rollers are often put to work on smaller jobsites. But the efficiencies that can be gained from using compaction technologies can be seen here as much as they can with bigger machines and bigger jobs.
ACEforce is mounted onto plates and light tandem rollers and covers compaction of any soil and aggregate, giving real time updates on achieved compaction. The system also can automatically adjust based on the compaction level. This helps avoid unnecessary passes and possible over-compaction. The measurement mode allows compaction measurement at any point on-site.
ACEecon is just for use on plates and is a relative compaction measuring device, continuously informing the operator about the degree of compaction and when maximal compaction is reached.
The benefits of ACE technology are significant. Among them:
The below brochure will give you all the information needed on Ammann Compaction technologies and the variety of ACE systems. Don't get left behind....
Complementing the Yanmar mini-excavators, are a range of compact dumpers. These machines are typically used to carry material, earth, on all kinds of terrain and are proving more and more popular.
Equipped with rubber tracks and characterised by very low ground pressure, they are particularly suitable for working on soft, uneven or sensitive land. There are 4 models of Yanmar tracked dumper available; the smallest C12, mid range C30 and largest C50 which also does come with an optional rotating skip, the C50TV.
The C12 has the option to tip on each of the 3 sides, making it a very versatile machine ideal when working on tight job sites and alongside trenches.
Safe travel is essential when operating tracked dumpers, the C30 and C50's all have a 180° rotating seat. Therefore the operator can always face in the direction of travel, again this helps when working on smaller sites and softer ground when machine rotation isn't possible.
Powerful Yanmar engines give these carriers strong traction and the ability to climb and work on steep gradients. In fact the C50's are equipped with the very latest Yanmar engine technologies which reaches EU Stage V requirements.
The below table will give you further information on these dumpers, you can also see a specific page dedicated to them by clicking the link here - Yanmar Tracked Dumpers
This week Ammann told us how their light compaction products are a great fit for rental and hire companies.
Light compaction equipment includes; Vibration plates, Rammers, Trench Rollers and Walk behind Rollers. We agree that these machines suit the hire industry well and this is backed up by our current and sales into many rental firms of all sizes.
The following are examples Ammann gave as to why their equipment is a great fit, followed by a brief example to reaffirm that.
• Exceptional compaction force that helps operators hit targets in fewer passes
For example: The Rammax 1585 compacts with a mighty 86kN of centrifugal force
• Extreme flexibility, with a wide range of sizes and an ability to excel in multiple applications that include soil, asphalt, paving stones, aggregate and others.
For example: we have plates ranging from 330mm to 950mm in width, including forward moving models, reversible and hydrostatically ran.
• Convenient fuel options, with many machines running on petrol – and others providing a choice of petrol or diesel
For example: the majority of smaller items, such as forward moving plates are petrol powered but there is a diesel option. Larger machines like the trench and walk behind rollers are diesel.
• Easy operation and comfort, with vibration-limiting handles and simple adjustment
For example: Our plates come with the option of low vibration handles, also the larger plates and trench rollers are hand arm vibration free as controlled remotely.
• Safety across the product line, from the handles of the smallest plate compactors to the infrared system on the trench rollers
For example: when remotely controlling a trench roller if you get too close or too far away from the machine it will automatically cutoff.
• Serviceability, with convenient access to maintenance points and a variety of kits available to make service easy
For example: Large maintenance openings and ease of access reduces downtime. Service videos available under the Service heading above and finally A&Y offer a full parts service from our central UK base.

This week we have been putting steel tracks onto the SV100-2pb, before it heads off to it's new home.
All of our Yanmar excavators come with rubber crawlers as standard but there is the option to have them replaced by steel tracks.
More often than not the work done by mini excavators in the UK is more suited to rubber tracks, however occasionally steels may be better. Below you will see some reasoning behind the choice of tracks you require.
Rubber tracks are more affordable and offer a smoother, quieter and more stable ride for the operator. They are perfect for work on dirt or grass surfaces and of course when tracking over concrete and asphalt the most sensible choice.
If your work stays away from really rough terrain then rubber crawlers are the best option for you and they will always give high levels of traction.
Adding steel tracks will increase the ground contact as they are wider, however not necessarily much heavier. In the case of the SV100-2pb just an extra 50kg is added to the over all weight.
These tracks are for machines working regularly in abrasive conditions and inclined terrains. They have good climbing ability and travel over rocks and large stones easier, for example when working on demolition sites steel tracks would be the best option.
Users with steel tracks often operate larger excavators where these benefits are more applicable.
Tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd August) see's the first day of this years Black Isle Show. The show is one of Scotland's largest agricultural events, with a range of related equipment being shown.
